The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is a standardized exam required for nursing licensure in the United States & Canada. It’s designed to assess the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are essential for safe and effective entry-level nursing practice.

There are two main versions of the NCLEX:

  • NCLEX-RN: For Registered Nurses (RNs). This is the version taken by individuals who are pursuing licensure to become registered nurses.
  • NCLEX-PN: For Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs). This is for those who want to become licensed practical nurses.

Structure of the NCLEX:

  • The exam is computer-adaptive, meaning it adjusts the difficulty of questions based on your performance. It typically ranges from 75 to 145 questions, depending on your answers.
  • The content areas covered include safe and effective care, health promotion, psychosocial integrity, and physiological integrity.
  • You have a maximum of 6 hours to complete the exam.

Preparation:

  • It’s important to study a broad range of topics covered by the NCLEX and practice answering different types of questions which we prepare you for it.
  • We train our candidates use study materials, review courses, and practice tests to help them prepare.

Passing the NCLEX:

  • To pass, we help our students to demonstrate maximum mock test in the areas the exam covers. The passing standard is set by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
  • You’ll receive your results after a few days to a few weeks, depending on your state’s regulations.

Each state board of nursing has its own requirements for licensure, so the process and regulations may vary slightly depending on where you’re taking the exam.
